START THE NEW YEAR EATING RIGHT

It’s that time of year again when gyms are getting packed with anxious customers ready to sing for the zumba class and grocery carts are filled with fruits and veggies. With the ultimate goal in mind of losing weight and get healthier. But for most people, keeping this resolution is not an easy task.
Here are few simple ways on how to trim your waist line and keep your resolution for a long run.

  • Don’t be a skipper and break the fast. Studies show that breakfast eaters have fewer cravings, better self-control, and higher productivity. If time is not on your side, having a plain Greek yogurt is good enough.
  • Drink up your water. Thirst can sometimes be mistaken for hunger, and it can be difficult to tell the difference, so if you want to lose weight, try having a glass of water first, to see if you are really just thirsty. If you don’t like the taste, consider adding some lemon, which is packed with vitamin C and will help to keep your hunger at bay.
  • Walk this way. To trim your waistline and improve your health. Get a pedometer, clip it to your belt, and get moving! with a desirable goal of 10.000 steps a day.
  • Keep an eye on your serving size. Remember that you have your serving size right in your hands!!!Use both open hands for colorful vegetables, the palm of your hand for lean protein and your closed fist for whole grain starches.
  • Get a reality check. Monitoring your weight can help keep your weight loss goals on track. By weighing yourself at least once a week, you can detect small gains before they get out of control. Weigh yourself in the morning after waking up and write your weight on your journal. You will be able to use this weekly feedback to adjust your diet as needed.

It is my wish that you:
        Think Positively,
        Exercise Daily,
        Eat Healthy,
        Worry Less
         and be Happy!!!
